I’m originally from Jordan. I came to Australia with my beloved husband, Emran, and my little angel, Carla.

My background is in biomedical science. I worked in many roles including; research assistant, lecturer, medical content writer, medical research methodology trainer, and phlebotomist.

I joined as a PhD in this research field and the ARC Training Centre for Next-Gen Biomedical Analysis because I am really into studying the diseases pathophysiology and trying to find therapeutic targets to resolve diseases related to skin cells. In addition to that, ARC Center interestingly brings up the industrial face of diseases diagnosis which is brilliant.

My project will be about understanding keloid recurrence and trying to manage that by applying potential drugs to the artificial skin models that mimic keloid microenvironment that I will explore to study how the cells will react will that. At the end of my research, I hope that I will be able to create a well bioengineered 3D skin model that will suit keloid recurrence and drug testing.

To add more, I hope that with the ARC-Center continues support not only from a financial perspective but also because of the comfortable environment with motivated helpful staff and colleague and all the advancement technologies and instruments it offers everything will go perfect.

Finally, I have a very interesting hobby called SFX wound makeup.
