Our vision is to integrate transformative technologies (including high-throughput screening for big data analytics, AI and machine learning, advanced imaging, and sensor technology) into the Australian pharmaceutical and diagnostic landscape, increasing international innovation and competitiveness.

All four cognate fields are key targets across the Australian industry-led growth centres. Our mission strongly aligns with the Australian Government’s vision to prioritise ecosystems that enhance business growth and competition by embracing new technologies, including Industry 4.0 (the fourth industrial revolution).

We directly align with core objectives of the industrial growth centre in Medical Technologies and Pharmaceuticals (MTPConnect), addressing skills deficiencies in the above transformative technologies with a focus on biotechnology market needs and commercial outcomes. Our programme is in accordance with the Australian Government’s National Innovation and Science Agenda because it directly links university training with industry-led research problems.
