Dr Cameron Evans is a researcher in the School of Molecular Sciences at The University of Western Australia. He is currently working on both synthetic and imaging techniques to investigate the cellular delivery of RNA therapeutics. With a background in bionanotechnology and chemistry, Dr Evans prepares lipid nanoparticles, hydrogels, and polymers to achieve delivery in the context of human disease and diagnostics. His research has made breakthroughs in the design and targeting of nanomedicines; with two new platforms to study nanomedicine and biological interactions in cells and tissues. Dr Evans’ team has expertise in encapsulating and delivering drugs, peptides, proteins, oligos, plasmid DNA, and in visualising these structures in cells and tissues.
