Dr Ashleigh Osborne (MHlthSc, Hons I, PhD) is an experienced Medical Affairs professional and cannabinoid researcher who serves as Medical & Research Director for Medigrowth Australia and holds an Affiliate Lecturer position with Deakin University. Ashleigh has been in the cannabinoid field since 2013 – before medicinal cannabis was legalised in Australia – and brings over 13 years of expertise, including a PhD focused on the therapeutic potential of CBD.

Ashleigh’s scientific contributions are well recognised with her cannabinoid research published in several high impact, peer-reviewed international journals, accumulating almost 600 citations to date. She has presented at numerous national and international scientific conferences, and her work has been supported by competitive project and travel grants from government, universities, and non-profit organisations. She worked at the University of Wollongong as a casual academic for 5 years and has also co-supervised several undergraduate research students, including Honours level.

While Ashleigh’s area of specialty is cannabinoid science, working with global companies in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries has given her expertise across a range of therapeutic areas, including psychiatry, rheumatology, neurology, dermatology, gastroenterology, oncology, women’s health, and addiction medicine. Over the past 7 years, she has educated thousands of healthcare professionals in quality use of medicines and medical vaporisers to transform patient care.
